The big guns of social media, Facebook has roped former chief product officer, Anand Chandrasekaran for their messenger service. Although, there is no official announcement from the Facebook the markets are quite warm with the rumors of appointment of Anand.
Anand Chandrasekaran informed the media wing about the designation in a post on his social media handle. Anand mentioned ” I am super eager to share that expanding on learning and encounters, I am joining Facebook to take a shot at Facebook Messenger stage. Truly anticipating working with them, David, Stan, John and the group to listen and learn and expand on the force.”
Earlier, Anand was working at the Yahoo between 2011 and 2014 as the senior manager for mobile and products. This inclusion of Anand will also benefit the Facebook as it will facilitate the Facebook to set their roots in the India on the back of the experience of Anand.
Chandrasekaran, left the Yahoo to join the Bharti Airtel, and it helped Airtel to groom its services during his tenure with them. Anand worked with Bharti Airtel for the months and during his tenure, Airtel launched mobile payment and music services.
Later, Anand associated himself with the leading online website Snapdeal. This initiative of Facebook has been taken as they believe India is the second largest user base country and it has maximum numbers of users of Facebook.
