India Team Preview

Virat Kohli led size has won the first test comfortably on the back of the solid performances from a couple of Indian guys. The spin twin of India, Ashwin, and Jadeja tore up the batting line-up of New Zealand and Vijay and Pujara being the batting stalwart for the team.

Ravindra Jadeja was rightly declared man of the match for his all-round performance. Although, India has won the first match but they have a little bit of concern when they will enter the second Test match.

Kohli has to look upon the new opening pair of India after KL Rahul has been ruled out of the series due to injury. The left-hander Veteran Gautam Gambhir has been recalled to the side, but there is still a chaos whether he will play or Dhawan will get the chance.

Indian Captain has failed to fire in the first match and knowing him, he will be desperate to fire in this match. There is still a possibility that Bhuvneshwar Kumar will make his way back for the out of form Umesh Yadav who was struck all around the ground for his inconsistent bowling. Apart from this, India is looking set to claim the series by winning this match.

New Zealand Team Preview

New Zealand has lost the first test match but they have performed well especially with the bat. The likes of Tom Latham, Kane Williamson, Luke Ronchi and Mitchell Santer has shown resistant especially against the spin twins of India.

The concern for captain Williamson is the bowling attack of New Zeland as their spinner were unable to get through the Indian batters in clinical situations. Also, New Zeland has suffered a big blow as Mark Craig has been ruled out of the series with series and it will be interesting to see, who will replace the offspinner.

Apart from this, there is the possibility that Matt Henry might get the place in the playing XI in place of Neil Warner who does not do much apart from taking the wicket of Kohli in the first innings.

The position of Guptill is in danger with a duck and mare score of 5 runs in the first test match. The coach Mike Heyman may opt for Locnchi to open the innings alongside Latham, and James Neesham may make his way back in the playing XI.

New Zealand has a history of making comeback backs especially when they are down in series by 1-0, but it will not be going to easy to face in-form Indian side.
