The Star Plus channel is all set to launch the another season of the cooking reality show “Master Chef India Season 5”where the judges will share their experiences with the participants’ and the participants’ will be also showcases’ their cooking skills, off course they must be fond of cooking anyway.
After proper promotion the show is all set to launched tonight which is touted as most awaited and anticipated show for the food and the cooking lovers. The show is “Master Chef India Season 5” is a competitive cooking show based on the original British “Master Chef”. It is produced by Colosceum Media Pvt. Ltd. and airs on Star Plus. It began airing in 2010 and till it is continues.
This season the show “Master Chef India” will be welcome a new face Zorawar Kalra who is the man behind Farzi Café and Masala Library and it is he is set to replace none other than Sanjeev Kapoor as one of the three judges on the show. The other two judges are chefs are Vikas Khanna and Kunal Kapur .
“I plan to bring a more rounded perspective to the table – right from the taste and presentation to the salability of the dish,” says the restaurateur Kalra to media and he is often referred to as the prince of Indian cuisine.
This time, Mr. Kalra is in plans to mentor contestants on the different aspects of opening a successful restaurant, such as understanding food costing and the ingredients to make the dishes delicious one.
About his passion for cooking, he said to media that, “a lot of my chefs (from my restaurants) are helping us behind the scenes. The contestants are passionate about food and eager to learn”.
The show, in its fifth season, features contestants from cities such as San Francisco (US), London (UK) and Dubai (UAE), literally from different corners of the world apart from India. The contestants will also travel to different parts of the world to carry out various cooking challenges.
Throwing light on the format of the show “Master Chef” rounds are consist of a large number of contestants from across the world who auditioning by presenting a dish before the three judges to secure their positioned in the team of 50 contestants’ in the semi-final places.
The semi-finalists then compete in several challenges which test their food knowledge and preparation skills. In Season 1 and 2, the top 50 competed until 12 were left, with the final 12 progressing to the main stage of the show.
The winner received a chance to make their own cookery show, the chance to have their own cookbook published, and Rs. 10,000,000 in cash.
