On Monday, an Army jawan was injured in fire between security forces and militants holed up inside a government building in Pampore, Kashmir which had witnessed a suicide attack in February this year.
Two or three militants are believed to have entered into the building of Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) in the wee hours today.
A Defence Spokesman said that 1 soldier has been injured in the exchange of fire with militants holed up inside the building at Pampore.
Further, he said that details were awaiting as the operation was in progress to flush out the militants.
According to a police officer said that a building within the premises had caught fire this morning.
The officials said that fire tenders were rushed to the spot, but fire tenders were not allowed to enter the building due to security reasons.
The EDI building also had been targeted by the Militants in the month of February this year.
2 soldiers, including an officer, a civilian employee of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute(EDI) and three militants were killed in that operation which lasted for two days.
