Mumbai Indians announced their new head coach for 2017 edition of IPL

The officials of the Mumbai Indians have announced the arrival of the new Head coach for their team for the 2017 edition of the Indian Premier League. Well, we all knew that Ricky Ponting the former Australian captain cannot continue to coach the Mumbai team due to his commitment with the Australia Cricket team job, so he resigned. The owners of the Mumbai Indians have approached numbers of the experienced cricketers around the world to rope them as the new head coach for their team. Their search finally came to former Sri Lanka legend Mahela Jayawardene.

The 39-year-old Jayawardene who retired from 2015 from International Cricketer has been assigned the job to coach the two-time winner Mumbai Indian team in the next edition of the IPL.

It is believed that Mahela Jayawardene was keen to take the coaching instinct and soon, he found himself as the new coach in the most popular t20 League of the world.

Mahela in a recent interview with media wing showed his excitement to coach the team who knows to win the tournament. Well, now it will be interesting to see the new partnership of Rohit Sharma with new coach Mahela Jayawardene in the next edition of Indian Premiere League.
