On Thursday, one person killed and at least 10 injured after about 12 vehicles rammed into each other at the Yamuna Expressway near Mathura due the dense fog on the expressway. The visibility on the expressway was about 10 or 15 meter only so the fast moving vehicles rammed into each other.
The dense fog engulfs the national capital and its NCR region and some parts of the Uttar Pradesh.
In another accidents on the Sohna – Gurugram road, due to low visibility and dense fog, early in the morning on Wednesday four vehicles – two dumpers and two trucks collided during the wee hours.
As per the statement of India Meteorological Department (IMD) that dense fog is going to stay for long time because the direction and speed of the wind has been changed. People should take precautions while driving on the roads.
Due to the dense fog in Delhi, the domestic and international flights from the Indira Gandhi International Airport has diverted to other airports.
