New arrest in UK Parliament terror attack

As per the sources of Scotland Yard that today, British police made a new arrest as part of an investigation by the Counter Terrorism Command into the attack on UK Parliament.

The police said that on Sunday, a 30-year-old man was arrested at an address in Birmingham on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts. He was detained under the Terrorism Act and currently remains in police custody.

The Metropolitan police said that another 58-year-old man was arrested on 23rd March on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts and detained under the act remains in police custody.

On suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts under PACE, a 32-year-old woman was arrested on 24th March. Later, she has been released on bail until a date in late March.

The police said that officers have carried out a total of 15 searches at various addresses in east London(2), south London(1), Brighton(1), Surrey(1), Carmarthenshire(1), Birmingham(8) and Manchester(1). Fourteen searches have now concluded, with one ongoing at an address in Birmingham.

Total 12 people have been arrested after the UK Parliament attack as part of the investigation. With no further action, 9 suspected persons have been released.
