Shocking News: American Airlines Pilot Dies On Flight During Landing

A first officer of American Airlines died on Wednesday after becoming disable during the last landing at Albuquerque, New Mexico. American Airline Flight 1353, a Boeing 737-800 flying from Dallas-Fort to Albuquerque was nearly 2 miles away from landing when the captain declared an emergency landing, with “a medical issue” aboard, according to a Federal Administration spokeperson.

American is expected to identify the officer aboard flight 1353 as WilliamMike” Grubbs but not confirmed. The aircraft landed safely at 3:37 p.m, according to FlightAware and taxied to the gate, where it was handled by paramedics, said Daniel, spokesperson for International Sunport. Also, two people who were awared with the incident said CPR was performed for 30 to 40 mins before the officer was announced dead.

The airline speaks live that- “everyone is saddened” by Grubbs’ passing. “May his body rest in peace and we are taking care of Officer Grubbs’ family as well as colleagues and our beliefs and prayers are with them during the difficult time.”

Although Most of the tasks during final approach in a Boeing 737 can be handled safely by a single crew member, but it would increase the stress as well as workload for the captain. Preparation of a member of the flight crew group is even rare. A 57-year-old American Airlines captain died in October in the year 2015 after falling ill during a flight between Phoenix to Boston but that flight landed safely after being diverted to Syracuse, New York.

The plane had left the gate in Dallas around 2:50 p.m local time and was wheels up at 3:10 p.m, according to the official intelligence, a flight-tracking service. It was wheeled down at 3:35 p.m. local time after one hour and exact 45 minutes in the air. Modern aircraft are designed so that a single person can safely operate and land an aircraft in an emergency situation. The name of the first officer was not released at press time still pending.
