West Bengal vs. Odisha: Rasgulla Battle wins West Bengal!

Well, you all may know that a competition between West Bengal vs. Odisha took place and that is not a simple competition. Here, we are talking the sweet Rasgulla battle. Yes! You are reading it right, sweet Rasgulla against Odisha after the Geographical Identification authorities ruled that it originated in Bengal. Also, the reports are coming that the battle is started and finished and results are out. As per the reports, West Bengal won the title of this amazing battle against Odisha.

The fight for Rasgulla began in 2015 when Odisha decided to set up three committees to counter neighboring West Bengal’s claim over the sweet. While West Bengal said it was invented in then Calcutta by confectioner Nabin Chandra Das, Odisha said it was invented in the holy city of Puri way back in the 13th century. Overall, both cities are trying to claim that the Rasgulla is their own city invention and trying to win the battle legally. Overall, now West Bengal won the title and made historical event today.

“The victory came after a long fight over two years and a half. I am happy and relieved,” said Abdur Rezzak Mollah, food processing minister in Mamata Banerjee’s cabinet, as quoted by Hindustan Times. Also, the reports are coming that the court clearly said that all the evidence and reports are saying that West Bengal got the history charts better and they deserve to get this winning.
