AAP MLA Amarjeet Singh Sandoa attacked by mining mafia in Ropar, leader’s turban tossed

From Ropar in Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party’s MLA, Amarjeet Singh Sandoa, on Thursday, was allegedly attacked by the goons of mining mafia near Nurpur Bedi in Ropar district, a party leader told the same.

“Sandoa was attacked by the goons of mining mafia,” Sukhpal Singh Khaira, the AAP senior leader, who is also the Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly, told.

At Chandigarh, He said the legislator has been rushed to PGIMER.

During the attack, The AAP MLAs turban was tossed up and even 2 of his security personnel were also thrashed.

“If this is the plight of the elected representatives who are also provided security, imagine what is the fate of ordinary citizens,” Khaira told PTI over the phone on his way back to Chandigarh from Delhi.

He said he was rushing to PGIMER to see Sandoa.

The Senior police officials of Ropar too have rushed to the mishap pot, where the occurrence took place.

The latest incident arrived post 3 days of the 2 employees of Punjab’s forest department were attacked by the sand mafiaso, though 4 other officials had escaped with minor injuries.

On the night of 18 June, Two officials including a forest officer were brutally thrashed by five to seven attackers with sticks and sharp-edged, at what time, they intercepted a tractor-trolley near Seonk village in Mohali.
