Accused of stealing Rs 100 from classmate, minor boy hangs self in his house

Mysuru: On Thursday, a Minor boy 13-year-old from Mysuru hung himself from the ceiling after he was accused of stealing Rs 100 from a classmate.

As per the reports that Pavan – a seventh class student of Sri Bhyraveshwara School in Metagalli police limits, killed himself at his residence after returning from school in the evening.

 

Pavan hung himself from the ceiling fan after collecting the house keys from a neighbour on returning home.

Last week, Pavan took Rs 100 from a friend’s bag and spent Rs 30 out of Rs. 100. But after realising the mistake, Pavan returned the sum of money to his friend. Pavan felt ashamed after stealing the money

But, school officials summoned the father of the boy – Jayasheelan and informed him of the situation. After this, his father scolded him, causing the boy to take the extreme step.

The police said that Pavan was in his school uniform when he committed suicide.

After committed suicide, the father of the boy has lodged a police complaint alleging that his son was humiliated by the school officials. The father of Pavan told media that he had given Rs 100 to Pavan, who spent a portion of it.
