ACT Fibernet which is a popular broadband operator has been offering faster broadband connections in selected cities. The operator has now stepped into the smart devices segment with its ACT Stream TV 4K device. The ACT Stream TV 4K is an Android TV box that can turn any modern-day TV into a smart TV. The device has been priced at Rs. 4,499 along with a security deposit of Rs. 1,500, which will be refundable.

ACT Stream TV 4K 2019
ACT Fibernet announced that the ACT Stream TV 4K would only be available to ACT Fibernet broadband users and not for the Cable TV users. Also, in the first phase, the product will only be available in four cities- Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Chennai which will be starting on August 2, 2019. The ACT Stream TV 4K is available for both new and existing customers. However, if you purchase it with select ACT plans in the four cites it has been launched, you can get the device for free.
ACT Fibernet broadband customers will also get one month of free ZEE5 Premium subscription worth Rs 99 for free and two months of HOOQ subscription. As mentioned in our first impressions article last month, the ACT Stream TV 4K allows users to watch Live TV and there are some premium channels too. ACT Fibernet today confirmed that all the premium Live TV channels could be viewed for free on a complimentary basis until December 31, 2019.
ACT Stream TV 4K Price
Talking about the eligibility plans, in Hyderabad city, customers subscribing to A-Max 1050, A-Max 1299, A-Max 1999 and ACT Giga broadband plans can avail the device.
In Bengaluru, the eligible broadband plans are ACT Storm, ACT Lightning, ACT Incredible and ACT Giga; In Delhi, customers subscribing to ACT Platinum Promo and ACT Diamond variants can avail the device. And lastly, in Chennai, the ACT Blast Promo, ACT Storm, ACT Lightning, ACT Thunder, ACT Incredible and ACT Giga plans are eligible for the device. All the plans mentioned above are available for the customers in six and 12 months subscription offer. All plans are available at monthly, 6 months and 12 months variants to suit the need of customers.
ACT Stream TV 4K Specification
After purchasing the device from ACT Fibernet’s website, it will be delivered at the customer’s house within five days.
The ACT Stream TV 4K is essentially an Android TV box running on Android 9 Pie and thus comes with support for Google Assistant and Google Play Store. The box comes with 2GB RAM and onboard 8GB storage. As the name suggests, it supports streaming in 4K resolution. Unlike Android TVs, this box support streaming from Netflix. Apart from Netflix, it supports all other streaming platforms available on the Google Play Store such as Hooq, Zee5, Hotstar, Sony LIV, and others. Recently, Amazon Prime Video has been added to the Google Play Store on Android Box devices, so the OTT streaming content side is entirely covered.
