After that, the girl took the AK-47 assault rifle of her family and killed the militants along with wounding several others, as per the local officials in Ghor province.

After the incident, a photo of her holding the gun has gone viral recently and she has been praised on social media for her bravery and heroism.

After hunting them down, the militants killed her parents and in return, the girl shot dead the two of the gunmen.

The officials also said that after the shoot-out, some more militants came to the village to attack the house, but this time they were beaten back by villagers as well as the pro-government militia.

At the time of the incident, she was sleeping in her room with her 12-year-old brother. All of a sudden, she heard the sound of men pushing at their house door. They broke the door and took her mother and father outside the home and shot them several times. She said that at first she was shocked and frightened but then anger took over after few moments and she picked the AK-47 assault rifle that they had in their home and rushed to the door and shot them. Her younger brother had been immediately taken to a safer place and has been given protection to both of them since then.

Through social media platforms, many people are praising the courage of the teenage girl to fight against militants. In a telephonic conversation with her, the girl said that she no longer feared any of them, and if they will try to attack their village, she will fight them again without any fear.

On the other hand, the Taliban refused their fighters to be involved in such a case and have also denied any of their militants to be killed in the incident. They called this government propaganda and denied the claims of the girl and the villagers.

Earlier in the month of February, the Taliban has signed a peace deal with the US but still, there are many of its members who continue to rebel against the current Afghan government and the constitution.
