An Air India aircraft with over 150 passengers on boarding suffered a tyre burst while landing at Mumbai airport from Nagpur.
AI630 arrived from Nagpur Airport when one of the tyres of Airbus-A320 burst during taxiing and immediately aircraft was taken to a taxiway where passengers were evacuated with the help of emergency chutes, an AI spokesperson said.
One of the passengers was told that initially they all panicked but the effect was a minor one. However, some of us were hurt while trying to slide down the aircraft.
Some of the passengers suffered injuries while they were being cleared through the emergency chute, airport sources said. The incident took place at around 10 PM.
However, the spokesperson, however, said that no injury to any passenger was reported.
