Amazon Prime Day Sale 2019: Start Date, Best Deals, Offers, Discount Coupons and More

Bargain hunters, prepare to mark your calendars and set your alarm clocks, Amazon Prime Day 2019 is just three weeks away. The e-commerce giant Amazon has announced the dates for this year’s Prime Day sale event. This will be the third Prime Day sale in India, whereas globally it’s the fifth. Amazon is promising a number of great deals across all major categories, new releases on Prime Video and Prime Music, and a lot more. The e-retailer has also promised over 1000 new product launches on its platform during the Prime Day sale.

Amazon Prime Day Sale 15 July to 16 July 2019

The Prime Day 2019 sale will run from July 15 to July 16. Amazon’s annual sale event ran for 36 hours last year but this year it’ll be open for 48 hours. Prime Day sale is an annual sale event that’s exclusive to Amazon’s Prime subscribers across the world. Amazon will be offering over 1 million deals worldwide during this year’s Prime Day sale. It’s safe to assume Prime Day is Amazon’s biggest sale event of the year.

Competing retailers like Best Buy, eBay, Target, and Walmart, will also offer aggressive deals to rival Amazon Prime Day, which gives you even more opportunities to put some cash back into your pocket. Prime Day deals are for Prime members only, so you’ll need to sign up for a free 30-day trial here before the big day.

What is Amazon Prime Day?

eBay announced its own 48-hour sale that will go head-to-head with Prime Day. The online merchant is calling its sale the Crash Sale, taking shots at Amazon’s rocky Prime Day start last year. “Crash the party with doorbuster savings on top brands, including LG, Apple, Samsung, KitchenAid, Garmin, and moreover 50% off – with a fresh batch of too-good-to-be-true deals that will drop if Amazon crashes,” eBay said in a news release.

Target’s executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, Mark Tritton said in a statement, “This year, we’re giving guests more discounts across even more of our assortment with two days to save on hundreds of thousands of items and offering the best options in retail for delivery and pick up on their terms, including same-day.”

In India, the Prime Day sale will bring over 1,000 product launches this year. Amazon will offer new products from OnePlus, AmazonBasics, Samsung, Intel, and other brands during the Prime Day sale in India. These will include LG’s new W30 smartphone, a new ‘Cocktail orange’ colour variant of the Samsung Galaxy M40 Rs. 19,990 new audio gear from JBL, 4K TVs, and more.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2019?

We now know that Amazon Prime Day start on Monday, July 15 just after midnight (at 12:01am PDT). Prime Day ends at Tuesday, July 16 (at 11:59pm PDT).

Keep in mind the official Prime Day start time is based on where the retail company is located: on the West coast. So some deals may come online at 3am ET.

Apart from new product launches, Amazon will also promote a new movie and music releases in the days leading up to the sale. From July 1 to July 14, Amazon Prime Video will offer a new major release. Amazon will also offer celebrity curated music playlists on Prime Music. Both these services are complimentary for Prime subscribers.

Amazon’s Prime Day landing page in India promises ‘never before offers’ on premium smartphones. The online retail giant is also promising ‘rockbottom’ prices on over 5,000 electronics products during its Prime Day sale this year.

Prime Day sale is also a great time to grab Amazon’s own products. The sale will include discounts on Amazon Kindle, Fire TV Stick, and Amazon’s Echo range of smart speakers. Amazon will also offer up to 50 percent discount on big-screen TVs and other home appliances. The sale will also include discounts on books, toys, and gaming consoles.

I’m not an Amazon Prime Member. Can I still shop Prime Day deals?

Amazon has also tied up with HDFC Bank this year, to offer 10 percent instant discount to the bank’s debit and credit card users during the Prime Day sale. Amazon will also offer unlimited reward points with its Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card. No-cost EMI payment options will be available with select payment options.
