Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan Twitter account was hacked by ‘Ayyildiz Tim Turkish Cyber Army’ which is a pro-Pakistan Turkish hacker group. Not only was the actor’s bio as well as profile picture changed, but also a barrage of spam messages rebuking attacks on Muslims all over the world were sent out.
After hacking Amitabh Bachchan’s twitter account, the hacker first changed the profile pic, cover photo as well as Twitter bio of Big-B’s account. The profile photo of Mr. Bachchan on his twitter account was changed to that of Pakistan’s PM and former cricketer, Imran Khan, while his bio read: “Actor … well at least some are STILL saying so!! Love Pakistan.”
There were many tweets that were sent out by the hackers from senior Bachchan’s account, but one of the tweet was mostly pinned out and it read: “This is an important call to the whole world! We do condemn the irrespective behaviors of Iceland republic towards Turkish footballers. We speak softly but carry a big stick and inform you about the big Cyberattack here. As Ayyıldız Tim Turkish Cyber Armny +++”
The account of Amitabh Bachchan has been immediately restored and all the posts that were made by the hacker group were deleted. The hacker on the other hand had also claimed that it has captured the DMs and major data of the Bollywood star.
Amitabh Bachchan’s Twitter account was restored within half- an- hour around 12:20 am on Tuesday.
An additional post read, “The Indian State, who mercilessly attacks the Muslims fasting in the month of Ramadan, is attacking the Ummah Muhammad in this age! Indian Muslims are entrusted to us by Abdulhamid.”
The group has also tweeted the link of its official Instagram page, though unconfirmed, inscription “We are waiting for your support.”
Not only this but earlier also, the same group of hackers had also hacked the accounts of other Bollywood actors such as Shahid Kapoor and Anupam Kher in the past. Big B’s Twitter account was, however, restored within half-an-hour.
However the incident might have been disturbing for Amitabh Bachchan, but on the other hand, some of the Twitter users took it seriously and some took the incident with a pinch of salt and made some of the crazy memes about the situation.
In the meantime, Mumbai Police told the media that their cybercrime cell as well as their Maharashtra Cyber unit has been informed about the “hacked” Twitter account and they are taking the case seriously. They have also started their investigating about the matter.
