The Apple iPad is ready to replace your laptop and without adding the Pro suffix. Apple has launched the new seventh-generation iPad (2019) in India recently starting at Rs 29,900 which makes it the most affordable iPad in the country. The new iPad looks similar to its predecessor as Apple hasn’t changed the design and the processor. It is still using the old TouchID instead of Face ID and a Lightning port instead of USB Type-C.

iPad (2019) comes in Wi-Fi-only and LTE versions with 32GB and 128GB storage options. The 32GB iPad (2019) Wi-Fi variant costs Rs 29,900, while the 128GB option costs Rs 37,900. The 32GB iPad (2019) Wi-Fi + LTE model costs Rs 40,900 while the 128GB version is priced at Rs 48,900.
As far as the design is concerned Apple has increased the screen size to 10.2-inch from 9.7 inches, the rest design and colour finishes remain the same. iPad (2019) comes in Silver, Space Gray and Gold and comes with the traditional thick bezels around the screen and the rear panel is aluminum that curves around the sides. There is a home button that doubles up as Touch ID. The form factor is almost similar to its predecessor. It is slightly taller but retains the same thickness at 7.5mm with a weight slightly more at 483 grams, but still feels light enough.

In addition to Apple Pencil support, the 7th-Gen iPad now also supports Apple Smart Keyboard. Both the Pencil and Keyboard need to be bought separately and could set you back by around Rs 20,000.
iPad (2019) has a 10.2-inch Retina display with a 2160×1620 resolution and 264 PPI. The screen size is marginally bigger than the previous generation.
