Assam PSC AE Exam 2020 postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak

Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has postponed the date of the PSC AE Exam 2020 for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil). Earlier, the APSC Assistant Engineer Examination was scheduled to be held on 05 April 2020. However, due to 21 days’ lockdown in the country against Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Commission has decided to postpone the examination.

APSC will announce the new exam date in due time and the APSC AE admit card will also be uploaded on the official website of Assam PSC i.e. apsc.nic.in once the lockdown will be over i.e. 14 April 2020. The exam is being conducted for the recruitment of 463 posts of engineers in the PWD Department.

As per the official notice released by APSC “In continuation of this office notification No.101PSC/DR-6/1/2019-20 dated Guwahati the 6th March 2020, it is for information of all concerned that the Multiple Choice Objective Type Screening Test (OMR based) for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) under PWD, Assam scheduled to be held on 05.04.2020 is hereby postponed due to coronavirus outbreak. The next date will be notified later on. Further, fresh e-admission certificates will also be uploaded”.

The selection process comprises of a preliminary exam and main written exam followed by Interview. The merit list will be created after the interview round.

APSC AE Exam will have multiple choice questions on Civil Engineering (100 marks) and General Studies (60 Marks).

The Assam PSC AE recruitment drive was started on November 19, 2019, and ended on December 12, 2019. Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the official website of APSC for the Assam PSC AE Exam 2020 update.
