BCCI Awards 2018: Kohli Bags Polly Umrigar Award, Get Full List of BCCI Awardees

Subsequent to the Virat Kohli’s phenomenal performances in the past two seasons, the Indian captain has been presented with the prestigious Polly Umrigar Award for the best international cricketer (2016-17 and 2017-18) and the graced Virat Kohli is received is in the form of the BCCI Awards (Naman), on Tuesday, the entire event took place in the Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The BCCI Awards is known for giving honors and for recognizes the top domestic and international cricketers across all age groups in the whole nation.

at the same time, Virat Kohli received the top honors in the men’s category of the Cricket, Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana are recipients of the award for best international cricketer (women) for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons correspondingly.

In order to give honor to one of its finest administrators, the BCCI has re-organized four awards in remembrance of Late Jagmohan Dalmiya.

The Jagmohan Dalmiya Trophy has been presented and given to main run-scorer and wicket-taker correspondingly in the U-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy and to the Best Junior and Senior Cricketer in women’s cricket.

The BCCI has also raised prize money for nine categories by Rs 1 lakh which is also revised prize money of Rs 1.5 lakh.

The Cricket Association of Bengal has been considering the best State Association which is also famous for their consistent performances in the BCCI domestic tournaments for the 2016-17 seasons.

The Delhi and District Cricket Association receives the prize for the 2017-18 seasons respectively also.

The Indian team will now be seen in action on June 14 as they take on Afghanistan in a historic one-off Test. The team will be led by Ajinkya Rahane as Kohli is out with a slight injury. From the original squad, Wriddhiman Saha has been replaced by Dinesh Karthik while Navdeep Saini replaces Mohammed Shami, who failed a fitness test.
