BCCI: India Finally Host First Day Night Test Match Against New Zealand This Year

BCCI confirms that Indian team will play their first day-night test match against New Zealand. Anurag Thakur confirms that later this year India will play a day night test match against New Zealand. This day night will played by pink ball Kookaburra.Pink-Ball_large

Anurag confirmed that if everything goes right then India will got opportunity to play a day-night match at the last of this year. Thakur said that they would get an idea to play with this ball and how the spinner bowlers will bowls on Indian pitches with Pink Kookabura bowls.

Indian team will get an idea when they will play Duleep Trophy. Other teams are also thinking to play day-night match against Australian team. The South African team don’t want to go ahead with the twilight test. Their test team captain said that at this moment they are not ready to play these matches because of some problems.

South African seam pacer bowler Dale Steyn tweeted that he too wanted to a day-night test match he said that he do not want to go through his whole carrier without playing a day-night game.

Well in the Duleep trophy Indian players will definitely get an idea to play from this ball. Duleep trophy is a regional domestic tournament that represent five geographic zones in the country. Indian pitch is also affected by dew factors. And the spinners seems confused on pitch.

So BCCI decided that Indian team will play Duleep trophy in Indian pitches so that they will get more idea and knowledge about the day-night test matches. Anurag Thakur also hinted that they may ask SG to produce pink balls but that has to be the quality that ‘kookaburra’ produces.”
