India has been known for its colorful festival and millions of people in India are quite serious about celebrating these festivals. Even, most popular sports Cricket can never be the obstacle in letting Indian celebrating their festivals.
This has now proved as BCCI (Board of Controlling Cricket in India) has decided to postpone an ODI match, that was earlier scheduled on the day of Karva Chauth.
BCCI on Thursday announced that the third ODI between India and New Zealand will now postpone from 19th October to 20 to October due to the Karva Chauth festival celebration.
CK Khanna, the vice President of DDCA and the head official of BCCI confirmed this news to Development and told them that BCCI has agreed to fulfill their request.
Khanna in a recent interaction with the media wing told ” We are thankful to BCCI for accepting our request of shifting the date by a day. I have received a letter of acknowledgment for the same from the BACK office.”
Earlier, the 3rd ODI was scheduled to be played at Feroz Shah Kotla ground on 19th October. But, DDCa has written a letter to the BCCI Secretary Ajay Shirke and inform that there is a chance that there will be the huge hit over the ticket sale for third ODI, as it is scheduled on the same day of Karva Chauth.
Meanwhile, it will also be the good news for the Indian fans as they can now comfortably enjoy the third ODi without any difficulties. India and New Zealand will begin their series on September 22 with the first Test match.
