UAE-based budget carrier fly Dubai has confirmed the news that all 61 people on board the plane die after the Boeing 737-800 went down close to the city’s airport in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The flight was traveling from Dubai in the UAE to Rostov-on-Don, including 55 passengers and 6 crew members aboard. They were 18 men, 33 women and 4 children.

However, the CEO of fly Dubai, Ghaith Al Ghaith, said on Saturday the airline was in “deep shock” over the incident.

The carrier has offered no initiatory cause for the crash. According to the sources, most of the passengers were Russian while 11 on board including the crew, consisted of nationals from other countries. But at this point of time; there is no clue that there were any Australians on the flight.

According to the Russian news station, RT reported the flight crashed as it was second effort at the airport because the first one was cancelled due to the bad weather.

Vasily Golubev, the governor of the Rostov region which is about  950 KMs south of Moscow, was quoted by Russian news agencies as telling local journalists that the plane crashed about 250 metres short of the runway. According to the News reports, the plane caught fire after the crash.

Mr Golubev said: “By all appearances, the cause of the air crash was the strongly gusting wind, approaching a hurricane level.”

Dramatic CCTV footage of what is expected to be the crash has emerged. The nearby building shows that the plane descending over a road before crashing, a fireball get down the scene.

In a statement, the airline has expressed the concern over the “tragic accident” and are working with local emergency services providers..

“While we are still awaiting final confirmation, it is with great sadness that we report we believe there are no survivors. “The aircraft departed from Dubai International at 1820 GMT bound for Rostov-on-Don. The accident occurred in Rostov-on-Don at approximately 0050 GMT.”

Speaking about the incident, Mr Ghaith said that their primary concern is for the families of the passengers and crew who were on board. Everyone at fly Dubai is in deep shock and our hearts are looking for the families and friends who were involved.

However, now the Boeing has released a statement that they are collecting the information about the accident and that’s why they are working closely to the concerned authorities. The company also said that they will make every effort to care for the affected people and their families and provide help to the dear ones of all those people who were on the flight.
