When it comes to BTS (or Bangtan Boys), there’s hardly any record that this leading South Korean band has not broken. That is the reason the band is the best-selling artist in South Korean history ever. This seven-member boy band is from South Korea including Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook as the lead members.
Whenever they release any song, it is very obvious that it going to be a blockbuster without any doubt. Apart from their albums and songs, there are few members from the band who have also released their solo audio track. Among them, Jimin is also one of those members whose solo audio track has been appreciated and widely acclaimed across the globe.
Last year, Jimin released his solo track titled “Filter” from “Map of the Soul: 7” album, which is the 4th full-length album from BTS. The song was released on 21st February 2020 and after one year of its release, the song has achieved a new record. The album itself has exceeds 50 million views mark on Youtube. However, Jimin’s Filter song has persisted to be the most streamed South Korean solo track in Youtube’s history.
Jimin has achieved this feat in such a small period of time after his solo track was released last year on February. In addition to that, the song has also achieved several records last year as well (March 2020) which were– the maximum streamed South Korean audio for solo idols, solo B-sides, male solos, as well as tracks under the category of Songs on Youtube along with Youtube Music.
Ever since the song is dropped on Youtube, it is breaking the records and the fans are not getting enough of Jimin’s Filter solo song. With this song, Jimin is making as well as breaking several records that he himself have not imagined. The song is loved by many, and it is not only in South Korea but also across the globe. Its only one year has passed and the song is breaking records in the South Korean as well as other major international music industry.
As of now on Spotify, the song has collectively garnered 140 million streams. You can imagine the impact of the song from this record as Spotify is the largest music streaming platform in the world. In addition to that, ‘Filter’ has also broken the record as the fastest Korean male solo song (un-promoted) to gain 140 million streams on the world’s best platform.
