On Saturday, that is, on 3rd July 2021, the former governor of Rajasthan and also the former CM of Uttar Pradesh, Kalyan Singh was taken to the Ram Manohar Lohia Institute which is located in Lucknow after his health started to decline. It has been reported that for the past couple of weeks, he was not feeling well, however, on Saturday his situation got worsen and thus, he was immediately rushed to the Lohia Institute for treatment. On Sunday, 4th July 2021 at around 5:30 PM, the veteran politician was transferred to the Intensive care unit (ICU) of the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPI).
The SGPI institute has also released a statement updating about the health condition of the politician. According to them, a group of medical team experts holding expertise in cardiology, neurology, neuro-otology, endocrinology, and nephrology are serving the BJP leader. It has been said that Singh was suffering from body swelling and during the blood test, it was discovered that the creatinine and urea levels of the former governor of Rajasthan were also high.
Kalyan Singh served as the UP Chief Minister two times in a row and has also served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Assembly Constituency of Atrauli. On 26th August 2014, he was selected as the governor of Rajasthan. He and his follower played a major role in the demolition of Babri Masjid and vowed that they will construct Ram temple there itself. He first served as the CM of UP between 24th June 1991 to 6th December 1992 and later became the CM for the second time between 21st September 1997 to 12th November 1999.
Meanwhile, in the common new statement by the institute, it has been revealed that while admitting Singh, the blood pressure and heartbeat of Singh was recorded normal, however, the level of consciousness was a little low. Thus, looking at the present situation of Singh, together with his past health records, the experts admitted him to the ICU of the CCM.
After the news of the deteriorating health of Kalyan Singh surfaced over the media, many prominent political leaders from the BJP including the current Chief Minister of UP, Yogi Adityanath and Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh and others went to the SGPI institution and paid their visit to the veteran political leader of BJP. As a matter of fact, the present deputy chief minister of UP, Keshav Prasad Maurya and president of BJP, Swatantra Dev Singh also visited the Lucknow based Ram Manohar Institute on 4th July 2021 and examined the health of Singh.
