Congress Party Leader Motilal Vora Died At 93: Check Bio, Wiki & Images

The Indian Congress Leader and Great Politician Motilal Vora died at the age of 93. He took his last breath on Monday or 21st of December. According to the sources, Motilal Vora had complications of Covid-19.

Motilal Vora was admitted to Delhi’s Escorts Hospital a few days ago because of a urinary infection in his body. He was also suffering from a lung infection and then, he was put on ventilator support.

Resources says, In the month of October, he was admitted to the AIIMS hospital after testing Covid-19 positive but after some days, he discharged after recovering.

Yesterday on 20th December 2020, he completed 93 years on Sunday. He will be cremated in Chattisgarh where his body will be taken in the day or on Tuesday.

Motilal Vora’s Early Life:

He was born on 20th December 1927 at Nimbi Jodha in Jodhpur and belongs to the Pushkarna Brahmin family. His father was known as Mohanlal Vora and his mother was Amba Bai. He studied in Raipur and Kolkata. He had worked for many newspapers for many years and married Shanti Devi Vora. He had a family of two sons and four daughters.

Motilal Vora started his carrier in 1988 in National politics and he became a member of the Rajya Sabha. He got the responsibility of Union Minister of Health, Family Welfare, and Civil Aviation. He was a Cabinet Minister in the Government of India and then, appointed as Governor of Uttar Pradesh onMay 16, 1993, and gave their best till May 3, 1996. He was also a member of the 12th Lok Sabha during 1998-99.

Motilal Vora was always close to the High Command of INC and supported the nomination of Rahul Gandhi as the party’s Prime Ministerial candidate. Then, he served as the President of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee in the 1980s.

Mr. Vora had handled all three entities involved in the National Herald Case: the Young Indian, the Associated Journals Limited (AJL), and the All India Congress Committee (AICC). Motilal Vora also worked in state politics and also, he was a member of the Samajwadi Party and then became a member of the Municipal Committee of Durg.

State Politics:

On 13th March 1985, Vora was appointed as a chief minister of Madhya Pradesh and then, he resigned from the post and became a Chief Minister on 13 February 1988 to join the Union Government of India.

He worked hard for the Indian National Congress and Indian politics. He will be remembered by his loved ones. May God Bless His Soul.
