Pm Modi address nation at 10 am tomorrow

Right now, the last rounds of meetings are going on to finalise the modalities for the phase 2nd of the graded lockdown that is going to be declared by PM Narendra Modi tomorrow at 10 am.

The three weeks or the 21-day national lockdown which was earlier announced by PM Modi on March 24 evening is now going to end on Tuesday midnight. Now, PM Modi has told all the chief ministers in India that the focus of the 2nd phase would be not only to protect the lives of people from the disease but also for their living or livelihood.

On the other hand, the PMO is also working with top government officials in order to draw up the blueprint of in what way this plan is going to be implemented. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to sign off on the plan well along in the day.

Last week, in a meeting with all the chief ministers, the Prime Minister has been urged by heads of all states for extending the lockdown by at least a fortnight.

However, a final word in the extension on the lockdown is still not officially announced by the Prime Minister, but Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had already hinted in a tweet on Saturday on the same matter.

The tweet from Kejriwal reads, “PM has taken correct decision to extend lockdown. Today, India’s position is better than many developed countries because we started lockdown early. If it is stopped now, all gains would be lost. To consolidate, it is imp to extend it,”

There are some states who have already extended the lockdown till April 30 such as Telangana, Maharahstra, Odisha and West Bengal. Odisha was the first state among others where Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik-led government extended the lockdown beyond April 14.

There are also some ministries who have suggested the reopening of production units as well as restarting the work in the agriculture sector on condition that all the compulsory guidelines for sanitation as well as social distancing are being followed carefully.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is now going to address the country on the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the nation on Tuesday, April 14. The Prime Minister is expected to give a final word on the coronavirus 21-day lockdown which is gong to enter its final day tomorrow midnight.
