You may not know that the cost required to print one rupee notee is more than its original value,the government has revealed it in response to the RTI (Right to information) enquiry. The printing of a one rupee note was stopped in 1994 because of high printing cost as compared to their lives and it was again introduced by the central government through state-owned Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India (SPMCIL).
As revealed,the cost came out Rs.-1.4 which is 40 paisa more than its original value.

Also the cost of printing of two rupee or five rupee note exceeds the value too,thus the Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India (SPMCIL) had stopped printing these notes too,Aggrawal said.
Since then, the denominations introduced coins in the market and somehow managed the cost but with the departure of time,the cost of the material from which the coin was made increased considerably and they again suffer the same kind of problem.Even the retailer started to sale it in black.
Thereafter the coins were aimed to remove from the market and the coins came into existence which was made using less material.
“The one rupee note carries the signature of the Union Finance Secretary while other denominations bear the signature of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor.”

The one rupee note which is recently launched has a shade of pink and green and it has been made by cotton rag and weighs 900 grams per square metre with a thickness of microns.It bears the signature of Finance Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi and not the RBI Governor because the are printed by the central government.It also includes a latent numeral at middle and the word Bharat on the right side.
This note is completely different from the note in 1994.The things which could be in their minds were to make the note below rupee one else the currency would be sold in black by the cheap minds.
