Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in 12 Hour Will Be Opened In Jan 23 Check Toll Prices Images & Expenses

The country’s first-ever longest expressway highway will be prepared two years from now. The length of the expressway has been estimated to be around 1350km. The key highlights of this expressway are that it will connect the two metropolitan cities of India, Delhi and Mumbai and the distance between these two cities can be covered in just 12 hours and you can save 150km of driving from Delhi to Mumbai and vice-versa. The expressway will pass through five states, Haryana(80km), Rajasthan (380km), MP (370 km), Gujarat(300 km) and Maharashtra (120 km). The cost of this project is around INR 90,000 corresponding and the project will be completed by the end of January 2023.

It is an 8-lane expressway and is further expandable to 12 lanes. The entire lane will have a wall of six-foot on each side. The purpose of these six-foot walls is to prevent the entry of foot-traveller and animals. It is stated that the Delhi-Mumbi Expressway will be Asia’s first expressway that will have an animal bridge. Also, in order to conserve the environment and reduces global warming, the project managers are planting 2 million trees and bushes and will also add solar panels.

Various recommendations have been given on this projects, and one of them is that engineers are thinking of setting up hydrogen fuel pumps and green fuel stations. It has also been reported that the expressway will have various facilities like restaurants, fuel station, hotels, fast-food chains and cafe at various places. Another key highlight of this expressway is that it will have a helipad and will be equipped with all emergency clinical centres in case of accidents.

The labours and workers are hard in order to complete the project within a limited duration. Delhi to Lalsot is the first phase of the expressway is scheduled to open by the end of December 2021 and as we have mentioned earlier, the entire Delhi-Mumbai highway will be completed by the end of January 2023. The project will use 35 lakh tonnes of cement, 5 lakh tonnes of steel. The labour employed in this project will have a 19,000 person-year contract.

The development of the Delhi-Mumbai expressway highway started on 5th September 2019. The development of the project is divided into various small phases. This new project will consume a lot of time and inter-state transactions will be easier. For this project, 15,000 hectares of land has been acquired by the government across five states.
