Delhi Smog: MCD’s school shut for 3 days, Gurugram imposes 144

After the Diwali, pollution level in Delhi is above the danger level. In wake of high level of pollution in Delhi, on Sunday, CM of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal said that all private and MCD’s  schools in the national capital  will remain closed till Wednesday.

AAP Supremo – Kejriwal said that all demolition and construction work will banned for five days in Delhi and water will be sprinkled on roads to deal with dust pollution. Strict action will be taken against those found burning garbage.

He told the reporters that I also request to Delhities to stay at their home and work from home, if possible.

Kejriwal said that the Cabinet had received a proposal to use cloud seeding for artificial rain. We have asked the Environment Secretary and Chief Secretary to work with the central government for the experiment of cloud seeding the in the city

District administration of Gurugram exercised section of 144 of CrPC  on Sunday and banned the burning of garbage, waste, and other materials openly in district.

It will continue till the city becomes smoke-free.

Another NCR city also announces emergency steps in the wake of high level pollution in Delhi. District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar announces emergency steps in the city.

District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar – NP Singh also announced 2 days holidays for the nursery, class I and Class II students of primary schools.

The officials said that all outdoor activities have been postponed in these schools in the wake of high level pollution in the national capital.
