Delhi Transport Minister: Odd-even is not the work of one day, it takes to implement with adequate preparations

On Tuesday, Delhi government made it clear that the 3rd phase of the odd-even scheme will be implement in the national capital with the prior adequate preparations and awareness to the people. Satyendar Jain who is the Delhi Transport Minister, said it in the National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) meeting chaired by Venkaiah Naidu who is the Union Urban Development Minister.

The main focus NCRPB was on the rising pollution level in the national capital and in the NCR region. Delhi Transport Minister – Satyendar Jain also asked the Central government to give sufficient time before asking it to implement the next round of car-rationing scheme.

The transport minister also urged the central government to think about the livelihood of lakhs of labourers before banning construction activities. Most of labours had gone to their villages after the ban on the construction activities in Delhi.

Transport minister also said that there has already been a delay in completing roads built in Outer Delhi. He further said that I have requested the Union Urban Development Minister to direct the agency to construct the expressway peripheral outside the outer Delhi as soon as possible so that there is no traffic congestion in Delhi.

Delhi Government has also urged the Central Government to construct Eastern and Western peripheral expressways so non-destined vehicles do not enter the city.
