Finally some good NFTs news this year. Many of you might not know, but NFTs is basically non-fungible tokens that claim the possession of digital items including image, text or sound files just like Crypto coins. In short, it is the value that one is willing to pay for the digital items. One of the most popular memes, “Disaster Girl” got sold for a valuation of USD 5,00,000 that literally astonished the whole world. The meme came into existence in the year 2008, when the owner of the meme, Zoe Roth’s father, Dave Roth posted a photo of her four-year daughter, who was seen smirking in the photo and behind her was the firehouse.

The smirk in that picture was so damn hilarious that it looked like she was the possible culprit behind the fire. The meme went viral on social media and later the Disaster Girl meme got very popular on the internet and from there on, Zoe became quite popular, however, she stayed away from the limelight and lived a normal and comfortable life.

USD 5,00,000 is a huge amount that an online meme has ever got and after the news was revealed it created a huge sensation on the internet. Many users took to their Twitter handle and expressed their view on this news. One of the users wrote, that although he hates NFTs however, he supports this one. Another user said that glad to know that the disaster girl managed to get a fine valuation as an NFT and many of the users even congratulated Zoe and her Dad, Dave.

While many of the users still thought the worth of meme was more and if compared to that, the valuation was underrated.  Zoe Roth is now 21 years old and lives in North Carolina, Mebane. She is a senior student and currently graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in War, Defence and Peace. Zoe is planning to take a gap of one year and after that, she will do a graduation degree in International relations. In a small statement given by her, the popular meme page owner, Roth said that she is now a part of history.

As per the sources, it has been said that the money that she has got from selling the Disaster Girl meme will be used by her to settle student loans and the rest will be donated to a charity organization. It is not the first time though that a funny photo has been valued as NFTs and in fact, before, that there have been many meme pages including Grumpy cat and Overly Attached girl, that got a good valuation. However, Disaster girl is said to get one of the highest valuations in the market. For more such news, follow our page.
