Well, tax filing has also been a big concern for many individuals and therefore to ease this concern, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) are introducing the all-new tax filing online portal 2.0. As per the agency, the new online portal will launch on the official website of Income Tax, “www.incometax.gov.in” on 7th June 2021, that is, on Monday for the taxpayers. Key Highlights of the new E-Filing Portal 2.0
- Singel Dashboard: As per the reports, the Income-tax department is preparing to launch the all-new e-filing portal to rationalize the tax return filing process and for that, they have come up with a single dashboard. With this single dashboard, individual taxpayers can easily file and keep track of their returns.
- User-friendly and Mobile Features: The main objective of introducing the new online filing portal is to give the taxpayer a user-friendly experience.
- Helpdesk Support & Chatbot: The new online portal will come up with helpdesk support facilities feature that will allow the taxpayer to ask any queries regarding ITR filing. Along with that, the taxpayers will be provided with an e-user manual, comprehensive FAQs, videos and chatbot facilities.
- All new Mobile App: This a new feature that has been added by CBDT for the first time in the history of e-filing. The new mobile app can be used for ITR filing and will be launching during the subsequent launch of the new e-filing 2.0.
- Multiple options for online Tax Payment: This is another facility that has been introduced by the central board of direct taxes. This feature will allow the taxpayers to make online payment of tax using multiple payment options.
To sum up, the new e-fling will come with user-friendly features and will give the taxpayer secure and multiple options for login in the portal. Apart from these features, the new portal will have pre-filled forms and easy to use ITR utility. Apart from that, the portal will also come with tax preparation software, that can be used by the taxpayer free of cost. The new tax preparation software will help the taxpayer in filing ITRs 1, 4 both in the offline and online mode, while one can also file ITR2 in the offline mode. The CBDT has also announced that the filing of ITRs 3, 5,6 and 7 will be made available on the tax preparation software soon. Stay tuned with us.
