US Open 2016: Serena Williams Reached Landmark Women’s Record Of 307

The world No. 1 seeded Serena Williams has achieved another milestone when she registered a win against the Johanna Larsson by 6-2, 6-1 in the last match.

Serena has now surpassed the Martina Navratilova for winning the Grand Slam for the massive telly of 307 by a woman. Serena not only surpassed Navratilova but she also now matches the Roger Federer’s tally of 307.

The media wing talked to her after reaching this landmark. Serena showed her excitement in a recent interaction with media reporter as she told them” I feel really good and its’ great to achieve this landmark.”

Serena Williams further added that ” it is super rare to reach the tally of 307 both in Men and Women. And now, I would look to continue increasing this tally of 307.”

The reporters also asked Serena about her shoulder injury that she sustain during her last Wimbledon triumph. Serena informed media wing that ” I am feeling good and I am doing a lot of work to keep it up. ”

Well, Serena next encounter is against the Kazakhstan’s Yaroslava Shvedova for a quarter-final berth and there she will get the chance to move upward from 307 Grand Slam wins.

Serena is also just few step away from achieving another feat to reach an Open Era record of 23 Grand Slam titles – and Margaret Court’s all-time record of 24. But, for this, we all have to wait for the upcoming clashes of Serena in the 136th edition of US OPEN.
