The two first met in November last year, in Mumbai When she had been invited to a meeting for the British Asian Trust. This Trust was created by Prince Charles and his colleagues in the year 2007, and the site says that 4.8 million people have been offered support since then.
“It was a pleasure spending a little time with you and many brilliant Indian minds looking for incredible solutions to making India a more wonderful place through your organization,” Katy Perry captioned an Instagram post. “I’m so glad some of the focus is on sustainability and solutions to protecting the environment”.
Perry has been supportive of numerous charitable organizations since the starting of his career. In December 2013 Perry was named a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. Perry said that her experience in philanthropy inspired her to work with the Prince Charle’s charity.
“My work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador has taken me to many parts of the world and opened my eyes to the many vulnerabilities of children,” said the singer. “India has long held a special place in my heart, and on my last visit, I was able to meet with the Prince of Wales and other leaders in Mumbai, and I was impressed by their strong plan – from on-ground initiatives to fundraising – that will aim to cut child trafficking in half.”
