There have been speculations that Esha Gupta has performed for an item number in Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming Rangoon and that the song has been cut out because the film’s star lady of the film Kangana Ranaut wanted it out. The news has been augmenting credence, as none of the key professionals included in the venture has worried to explain. However, Esha eventually came ahead to slam the rumour. Says Esha,
“I was never offered the song. I don’t even know if there is an item song in Rangoon or not. I think it’s just some fake news doing the rounds maybe, but even the makers will agree, I have no idea about anything related to Rangoon.”
Esha Gupta will be following seen in the much awaited Akshay Kumar’s film Rustom. The movie’s plot is based on the infamous Nanavati murder event that fluttered the nation back in the 1950’s. Ileana D’Cruz also performs as the female lead.
Rangoon starring actors Shahid Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan is set in the 1940s amid the turbulence of India’s freedom fight and will highlight some epic historic sources. The film finished its final shoot plan a couple of weeks ago and the whole team, containing Bhardwaj, producer Sajid Nadiadwala and Ajit Andhare, COO, Viacom18 Motion Pictures, are pleased with the efforts.
While Shahid will be seen essaying an Indian National Army (INA) soldier in the movie, Kangana will portray the role of a Broadway showgirl and Saif will be seen performing a director from the black-and-white theater time.
Rangoon is slated to release in the early months of 2017.
