Etah: 7-Year-Old Raped Murdered During a Wedding Ceremony

Well, you may think that protesting, marching and lighting candles can help these rape victims. You may think that after sharing a quote, picture or saying against the rape on social media is going to help someone, but that does not going to help anyone. We all are quite busy with our lives and we will forget about this whole protest, news and all the victims. We may never look back and the media will never be going to talk about it again until they found out something new to talk about.

You all should know that what happened in Kathua isn’t new, it happens every day in our state, city, or street with someone. Now, the news is coming out from Agra, Etha where a seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered during the wedding ceremony.  Sources are saying that the accused is a young guy who was hired to set up the tent for the occasion.

Reports are coming that the incident took place early Tuesday morning in Sitalpur village two KM from Kotwali Nagar police station. Also, the victim’s body was found abandoned at an under-construction home, close to the wedding venue. Some reports are saying that the accused identified as Sonu Jatav fled, but was later apprehended by the police.

Sources are claiming that the victim, a resident of Sitalpur was there to attend the wedding ceremony of a local journalist’s sister. During the wedding, the girl went missing, even as her parents kept searching for her whereabouts. Some sources are saying that someone found out the unconscious girl in a semi-naked condition, with strangulation marks on her neck at around 1:30 am, also she was bleeding.

The parents took her hospital but doctors declared brought dead at the government hospital. Also, the police said that “The girl’s body has been sent for postmortem, while the accused has been arrested. Based on the written complaint of the victim’s family, the accused Sonu has been booked under IPC section 302 (murder), 376 (rape) and POCSO act.”
