Former Pakistan coach and Australian fast bowler – Geoff Lawson has slammed Indian Cricket Captain Virat Kohli, saying he must behave in a better way as captain of the Indian cricket team.
Lawson quoted that well Virat’s consistent. You’ve got to give him that, he’s consistent.
Virat Kohli has been at forefront of the constant verbal battles in the ongoing series between the India and Australia.
Geoff Lawson said that as a leader and as a captain of a cricket team, you have got lots of responsibilities, you have got to show more gravitas and responsibility than this. These sort of actions are those of your worst behaved player.
Lawson further said that send-offs are supposed to be against the code of conduct and he was certainly caught on camera using some bad language in the second Test match. But I am surprised he did not get reported.
Geoff Lawson added that the language of Kohli on the field has been pretty much unacceptable. For a captain to carry out a press conference and then just show so little diplomacy. But he is a great, great player. He is one of the best players going around, but you’ve got to behave as a captain better than that.
