Facebook Elicited 40 Teams & 30,000 People to watch out the Fake News ahead of LS Polls

You all should know that the Election fever is on and the political campaign for each party has already started. In the Election, things changed this year as the political parties wanted to target much and much social media platforms. As you all might already know that Indian youth is using Facebook in very big numbers and all the political parties are well known by this game.

Sources are saying that Facebook is going to scan every single post and they are about to scan if any of these violate the policies against hate speech and fake news. Reports are coming that the social media company is planning to conduct a strict operation over its platforms to avoid any kind of problem in the near future. Everybody knows that Facebook holds the potential to impact the upcoming general elections in India.

As per the reports, the company has elected and opened operational centers in Menlo Park, India, Dublin, and Singapore. These centers will have a sharp eye on all the videos, audios, and the written words along with links are going to be scanned deeply. A little over 900 million people are registered as voters for the seven-phase general election beginning April 11. You all should also know that the WhatsApp with an estimated 200 million users in India has emerged as an easy platform for quick dissemination of posts.

You all should know that these operations centers will have 40 teams and in this team, 30,000 people are working across the globe. According to Kaushik Iyer, engineering manager for civic integrity at Facebook, these teams determine what content is acceptable and does not breach the code of ethics. They just want to make things alright and fair. Also, they want to avoid the doctorate videos online on Facebook Platform.
