The Noida Police busted an illegal rave party on Saturday night and arrested 192 people including 31 women. The rave party was organised at a farmhouse in Sector 135. Police also recovered alcohol, beer bottles in huge quantity from the rave party venue. The Noida Police said alcohol and drugs were being served illegally at the party.

The arrests were made after a team led by Gautam Buddh Nagar Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Krishna received a tip-off about a rave party being held in Noida’s Sector 135. He told media persons that the police got a tip-off about a rave party is being held at a farmhouse under the Expressway police station. Acting on the basis of the information, a police team raided the venue and arrested several men, women. According to the sources, many arrested in the case are mainly college going students and working people and in majority, dwell from Delhi and a few from Haryana and Noida
Police told that over 30 cars, bikes, DJ system were also seized from the spot. Around 31 hookahs, 112 beer bottles, 30 liquor bottles, which were meant for sale in Delhi, have also been seized from the farmhouse. Five of the key organisers of the event have been arrested and are identified as Amit Tyagi, Pankaj Sharma, Adnan Ahmed, Balesh Kohli, all four from Delhi, and Kapil Singh Bhati, from Ghaziabad, have also been arrested.
The organisers charged Rs 10,000 from the boys who attended the party and it was free of cost for girls. Sources said few girls were also brought in to entertain the attendees at the rave party and the organisers charged 10 percent commission from each table.
Police said they were probing allegations that some officers of the local police station were hand-in-glove with the organisers. Eco Farms, the farmhouse, comes under the purview of Expressway police station.
“We have booked the accused under sections 60/63/72 of the Excise Act along with sections 268 (public nuisance), 278 (making atmosphere noxious to health), 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the Indian Penal Code. All the accused were sent to jail after being produced in a court on Sunday,” SSP Krishna said.
He further added that the investigation is underway whether few local police personnel were involved in the illegal activity.
