Tamil Nadu: First Transgender Yashini Joined The Police As a SI

Well, today we are going to share the very important news with you all. Yes! This news is important on many factors such as, Indians are ready to accept transgender and other things which is very good news for everyone. So, today we are going to talk about New Nadu Police SI, K. Pritika Yashin(27) who joined the police for as a transgender and become the first transgender SI. As per the reports, this is a very big change.

Well, Monday was no different as camera crews descended on Choolaimedu police station where India’s first transgender police officer took charge as a sub-inspector in the law and order wing. Everything is changed when she took responsibility as an SI and she is looking quite happy by this responsibility. An apprehensive Pritika Yashini avoided interacting with the media until her senior officers reached the station.

After that when the senior officers reached the police station she shared something with all media channels that “This is a dream come true. I have crossed several hurdles to reach where I am today. I promise to serve society without exhibiting any bias,” Even her colleagues at the new workplace wished her well and promised the full corporation with her on duty. Even, the sources are saying that her first day on work she was explained about the jurisdiction and nature of her work in the law and order wing.

If we dig into the past then we can say that she has a very rough childhood. As a native of Salem, Yashini was born as Pradeep Kumar to Kalai Arasan-Sumathi couple. Yashin’s father is an auto driver. Yashin left home as a 21-year-old and worked with an NGO before she joined the Tamil Nadu police as an SI, thanks to the intervention of Madras high court.
