The whole industry is suffering from the aftermath of the Wuhan virus pandemic and the lockdown has added more fuel to the fire. The lockdown and the ongoing virus have created a recession in the market and also caused the people to work at a lower post in order to earn a livelihood. Recently, the runner-up of Dance India Dance Season 4, Biki Das was seen working as a food delivery boy in the street of Kolkata. It has been stated the dancer was suffering from a financial crisis and the lockdown and pandemic forced him to take up the job of delivery boy.
On 4th June 2021, that is, on Friday, the dancer was riding his bike from Jodhpur Park to Ranikuthi, however, he met an accident on his way. As per the reports, the dancer was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for undergoing medical treatment. The doctors that took charge of Bir reported to the family of the dancer that he has broken his ribcage and also experienced some other severe injuries and thus, the doctors have recommended the dancer a complete bed rest for few weeks.
It is still unknown to us, what was the exact cause of the car accident, however, the wife of Das has filed a complaint in the Lake Police Station. Meanwhile, the police officials are investigating the case of Das and trying their best to find out the root cause behind the accident. On the work front, Das is currently jobless and according to the reports, before the lockdown thing happened, Das was actually earning a handsome amount of money by doing various stage shows and also by mentoring and choreographing other dancers.
However, the ongoing pandemic snatched the only sources of dancer’s income. Who would have thought that the second runner-up of the famous dance reality show, “Dance India Dance” would end up like this? Das auditioned for DID 4 in the year 2014 and later made his way in the top 12. During that time, the show was judged by Shruti Merchant and Mudassar Khan, and Feroz Khan.
While Das reached the finale of the show under the guidance of Feroz Khan and later became the second runner-up in the show. It is extremely disappointing that such a talented artist was forced by the circumstances to work as a food delivery boy, wherein he should be doing something that will justify his talent. Also, it has been said that Das took up the job of Food delivery guy for this week only in order to meet the requirement of his family, which clearly depicts that even the delivery guy job was not permanent in nature.
