On Sunday late evening, Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, after complaining of chest pain, was immediately admitted to the AIIMS, Delhi, sources said.

As per to a hospital source, Manmohan Singh, 87, was admitted at about 8.45 pm in a ward at the cardio-neurosciences (CNS) tower, under Dr Nitish Naik, who is a well-known professor of cardiology at AIIMS.
According to the hospital source, he was brought to the hospital late in the evening, after he complained of uneasiness. After that he was immediately has been admitted. Right now he is in stable condition and has been “under observation with specialists examining him,”
Talking about Singh’s political career, he was the prime minister of India between the year 2004 and 2014. He plays the lead role player in Congress party whenever it comes to advising his party, especially on economic matters. Previous month as well, he accepted a request from Congress-ruled Punjab for guiding the economy of the state for recovering after the coronavirus crisis is over.
Currently, he is a senior leader of the Opposition Congress as well as represents Rajasthan in the Upper House of Parliament.
So far, on the admission of Manmohan Singh to the hospital and his treatment has not been officially stated by the AIIMS.
However, after some time, Singh’s office confirmed the news that he had been admitted to the hospital but also highlighted that he is perfectly okay and doing fine.
The former PM’s office stated, “He is okay.” The statement further added that he was taken to the hospital as he had fever due to “the side-effect of the medication that he was given yesterday. Right now, he is under observation,”
Many of the senior politicians from the Congress such as Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi along with other political parties have enquired about his health and have also wished the former PM a speedy recovery.
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal also tweeted to show his concern regarding Dr Singh’s health. He said, “Hope he makes a full recovery very soon.” He added that all the people of India is “praying for our former Prime Minister.”
Manmohan Singh is a notable economist who later joined the Congress party in his political career and served as prime minister not for one but for two terms starting from 2004 and ending on 2014.
