Registration for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is going to close today on 24 September. The registration procedure, which started on 3 September, is going to conclude on Tuesday.
GATE 2020 Application Form Registration (Last Date Extended)
All the candidates who still wishes to appear for the examination can fill the application form that has been available at the official website at gate.iitd.ac.in. This year, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi is going to be conducting the GATE on 1, 2, 8 and 9 February. Candidates can submit applications till 1 October but then they will have to pay a late fee.
GATE 2020: Eligibility criteria
All the candidates who are interested in appearing in the GATE 2020 examination, must have a graduation degree in BE, BTech, BPharmacy, BArch, BSc (Research), BS, MA, MSc, MCA, Int MSc or Int BSMS in 2019 or else they should have finished their Int ME, MTech (post BSc) or a double degree after 10+2.
GATE 2020: Application Fee
For all the unreserved categories, the application fee will be Rs 1,500
For all the Women candidates, the application fee will be Rs 750
For all the reserved categories such as SC/ST/PwD, the application fee will be Rs 750
For all the international candidates, the application fee is going to be USD 50
GATE 2020 Registration How to Apply
Steps to register for GATE 2020:
Here are some simple steps that you need to follow in order to register yourself for GATE 2020:
Step 1: At first, go to the official website at gate.iitd.ac.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link ‘GATE Online Application Portal is live. Click here to Apply.’
Step 3: After that you have to click on the ‘register here’ link at the end of the new page.
Step 4: Now, fill in the details that are asked to register.
Step 5: Log in with enrollment ID/ email as well as password.
Step 6: Fill in the online application form and after that note down Registration /Application Number.
Step 7: Now, upload the scanned copies of your latest photograph and signatures.
Step 8: At last, pay the application fee in order to complete the registration process.
GATE 2020 is going to be conducted for total of 25 subjects (also referred to as “papers”). The examination will be conducted at GATE examination centres in several different cities all across India and in total of six cities that are situated outside India. The examination is also going to be in the form of a Computer Based Test (CBT).
After the exams will get completed, the results are going to be announced on 16 March, 2020. Candidates must take note that the GATE score is valid for three years from the date on which the results are announced. The result will also get announced on the official site.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is basically an examination which is held all over India that primarily tests the inclusive understanding of a number of undergraduate subjects in engineering and technology.
