Goa: One more person infected with Corona virus, tally now 7 in the state

Amid the spreading corona virus cases, one more positive case has been diagnosed in Goa. The Goa.State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane shared this information on Saturday. He said that this person from St. Estevem village had recently returned from abroad. Rane said, “After seeing the symptoms of Covid-19, he went to Goa Medical College and Hospital and got examined. His report came late on Friday, confirming that he is infected with the coronavirus.” With this, the total number of corona virus positive cases in Goa has increased to 7.

Reportedly, the number of infected with coronavirus has increased rapidly due to the congregation in Delhi’s Nizzamuddin’s Tablighi Jamaat. However, the latest case in Goa is not related to the Tablighi Jamaat.
According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of coronavirus positive cases in India has increased to 2902 (2650 people are currently infected with the virus, 183 have been cured or discharged and 68 have died). Notably, there has been an increase of 355 cases of Corona virus in India in the last 12 hours.Meanwhile, Rane said that the patient has been admitted to a specially designated Covid-19 hospital in South Goa. The minister said, “This is the seventh case in the state. Five of the six previous patients had worked on a vessel abroad and they later returned to Goa.“
Coronavirus outbreaks continue to grow in India, despite this people are not following the lockdown. Many states have started taking legal action against those who break the lockdown. The Kochi police arrested 41 people on a morning walk in Panampilly Nagar area amid lockdown today. They were arrested after being monitored by police with the help of drone cameras. The SHO said that those people were later released on bail.
