The Happy Birthday Google doodle also has a timestamp that is dating back to 27-9-98.

Talking about this search engine history, it all started today 21 years back as a project by two Computer graduate students Larry Page and Sergey Brin who worked out of their dorm rooms in order to create a search engine portal named Backrub.

In other words we can say that Backrub was the seed which would then be established into Google years later. “We chose our systems name, Google, because it is a common spelling of googol, or 10100 and fits well with our goal of building very large-scale search engines,” the students had said.

The search engine turns into widely popular after some further developments. Shortly a company – Sun Microsystems, sponsored the search engine and this was the inauguration of Google Inc. Google then turn into a legal entity and set up its first office in California.

At present date, Google’s net worth is projected at around $300 billion, as of September 2019,  and the parent company Alphabet is valued to be worth $900 billion. This makes them the third most valuable company after Amazon and Apple.

The company’s website says, “The relentless search for better answers continues to be at the core of everything we do. Today, with more than 60,000 employees in 50 different countries, Google makes hundreds of products used by billions of people across the globe, from YouTube and Android to Smartbox and, of course, Google Search,”

A Google Doodle is a special, temporary variation on Google’s homepages of their logo that rejoices special occasions, holidays, people and accomplishments. Last year on December 31 the Google Doodle presented a group of penguins and parrots.

The illustrators, engineers, and artists who design Google Doodles are known as Doodlers. These doodlers have comprised of various talented artists such as Ranganath Krishnamani, Dennis Hwang, Jennifer Hom, Sophia Foster-Dimino, and Ekua Holmes.

Google came up with its first ever Google Doodle back in 1998, which privileged the Burning Man commemoration. It was designed by Larry Page and Sergey Brin to let operators recognize about their absence if the servers stopped.
