Google India made available free wifi to 100 stations in India

The Google India has finally announced that they have succeeded to setup the wifi facilities along with the RailTel in the 100 station in India. Udhagamandalam becomes the 100th station to be equipped with the wifi. However, the project was to implement the wifi in 400 locations, but Google has managed to implement in 100 stations till now and soon will expand the implementation of wifi in more 300 stations.

Gulzar Azad, Google India connectivity Head in a recent interview told media wing that ” well we are proud that we have achieved a milestone. It’s amazing that we have reached so far since our collaboration with the Indian Railways, but the most impressive thing about this is the stories of the people who are using the wifi to the full the full and open Internet.”

Google India announced to make 100 Railways stations in India wifi assistance on September 12, 2015, and they launched the in January this year at Mumbai Central railway station. The wifi facilities in numbers of the station will help millions of people to learn the benefit of the internet, and they will help in making the India a digital country.

Meanwhile, The RailTel Google free high-speed public WiFi is available in the stations like Vijayawada, Kacheguda, Jaipur, Patna, Guwahati, Ujjain, Vishakhapatnam, Allahabad and Ernakulam Junction, Pune, Bhubaneshwar, Ranchi, Raipur, Bhopal.

Well, it looks like Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of making the Indian a digital country has taken a massive step ahead and soon, it will become the digital country.
