Government to deliver the holy “Gangajal” at doorsteps by Indian Postal Service

An Initiative of Government to deliver the holy “Gangajal” at doorsteps by Indian Postal Service spread across the country had launched on Sunday in Patna, Bihar.

The pious Gangajal brought from Rishikesh and Gangotri, would be delivered at the doorsteps of people at nominal prices by the Indian Post.

This initiative was launched by the Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Minister of State for Communication Manoj Sinha at a function in Patna, Bihar.

State Communication Minister Manoj Sinha said that the credibility of Indian Postal Department is associated with the delivery scheme of Gangajal and it would fulfill the expectations of the people.

Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said this initiative has been launched within a short span of its conceptualization. He said the plan was mooted on May 30, 2016.

According to reports, the plan to provide the holy Gangajal at the doorstep has been already implemented by some of the e-commerce website. The e-commerce company charges of Rs. 299 for a liter bottle sourced from the Gomukh.
