Arbor Day 2021: Let’s celebrate the day and plant more trees: Arbor Day is celebrated every year on the last Friday in the month of April in order to encourage the people to plant trees. As we all know plants and trees are the best friend of humans, animals or any other living being on the earth but do we really feel the same and care about it? Every day hundreds of plants and trees are cut down so that we can get a clear land to live, woods for making various stuffs and many other reasons. We get so much from trees and plants such as oxygen, wood, medicine, fruits, vegetables and much more, without it we have no chance of survival and therefore it’s our responsibility to pay them back by planting more and more trees. Arbor Day is much alike Earth Day in which individuals and group of people are encouraged to plant trees. The main objective or aim for the day is to encourage people to plant trees, and many groups of people take the chance to form events such as tree-planting and litter-collecting on this special holiday.
The day is basically a tree-planting holiday that was founded in Nebraska in 1872. The day was initially started at a small level but the good cause spreaded all around the world and in the present day, a lot of nations observe this amazing holiday.
When Arbor Day is celebrated?
Though, the day is generally observed in the spring season but the date may vary, depending on climate and the suitable planting season such as, Hawaii celebrates Arbor Day on the first Friday of November, and on the other hand Alaskans celebrate it on the third Monday in May. At present, Arbor Day is celebrated on the last Friday in the month of April in various countries.
