Hardik Pandya has been lined out of the forthcoming series in contradiction of Australia. The reason behind it was that Hardik Pandya was having a lower back stiffness and due to medically unfit he was ruled out of the upcoming tournament. He has been swapped by Ravindra Jadeja in the team India squad.
On observing the condition of Pandya, the Medical team of BCCI decided to give a break to the all-rounder and let him rest and go through strength and training work for his lower back at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Pandya is going to begin his strength workouts from next week onward.
At the present, the T20I squad is going to be made of 14 team members. Ravindra Jadeja has been named for the replacement for Hardik Pandya for the 5 ODIs.
After being banned from the ODI series for the controversial comments on a TV chat show, Hardik Pandya made its comeback into the Indian squad for the ODI series against New Zealand. After his comeback, his performances were quite striking and remarkable, but this back injury could be a worthy opportunity for both Ravindra Jadeja and Vijay Shankar to stake a privilege as the all-rounder in the team India side.
