Hardik Patel granted bail, Gujarat HC asks him to remain outside state for six month

A leader of Patidar agitation, Hardik Patel, 22-year-old has been granted bail in the sedition case. Patel was locked in jail since the past nine months. The court of Guajarat gave instructions to Patel that he would have to leave the Gujarat while granting the bail to Hardik Patel. The free movement of Patel is restricted to any part of India outside the state Gujarat.

Hardik Patel who is the leader of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) was arrested in September by the Gujarat Police because he led a massive revolt across the state Gujarat. He was demanding reservation for the Patels community in Gujarat. Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti had demanded to provide the reservation to the Patidar community in the governmental jobs and educational institutions from the Anandiben Patel-led government in Gujarat.

Later the Government of Gujarat had announced 10 per cent reservation to economically weaker section across caste lines.
